Much underrated and unknown to a wider audience Steve was still producing very strong material which often went beyond simple 'rock' - recorded in New York City and Nottingham, UK!

April 1991 - Word Of Mouth - Mike & The Mechanics 3 (68)
The making of the 3rd 'Mechanics' album did not go at all smoothly with a change of studio personnel part way through recording,, the album perhaps did not fulfil its potential but still produced some worthwhile tracks
May 1991 - Still - Banks, Tony 6 (69)
For camera shy Tony putting his picture on the cover of this album was a quite an event, but it did not help the album catch on with a wider audience, despite featuring guests Fish and Nik Kershaw, also Daryl Stuermer the long-time 'Genesis live' guitarist plays extensively on this album.

It had been a long wait since June 1986 since but from March to September Tony, Mike and Phil produced a polished work which proved to be the most successful album Genesis album ever, the last track 'Fading Lights' set alarm bells ringing for some regarding the future of the band, but the band followed up with a huge and successful world tour.

8th November 1993 - Both Sides - Collins, Phil 7 (77)
A much underrated album, Phil recorded this album (after a 4 year gap) essentially himself right down to the simulated bagpipes! Phil had lost his 'Mr Nice Guy' image with the general public after his marriage broke down.

6th March 1995 - Beggar On A Beach Of Gold - Mike & The Mechanics 4 (83)
It would have been so easy for the 'Mechanics' to release albums that were purely middle of the road, but they went and made a album of some standing, Over My Shoulder, a single from the album was loved by radio stations and was played constantly throughout 1995. The artwork was also one stage better than usual showing that there was still invention behind the music.
15th May 1995 - The Living Room Concert - Phillips, Anthony 21 (84)
A live radio session, recorded by Jeff Towne and John Diliberto on March 21st 1993, as part of the Living Room Concert series for Echoes, a daily US radio programme of contemporary instrumental music.
11th September 1995 - Strictly Inc - Banks, Tony 7 (85)
Tony decided not to put his name on this album and opted for a band name for his latest effort, the single Only Seventeen deserved to be a club hit but no chart placing was forthcoming and while fans liked the album (particularly the epic Island In The Darkness) the general public are still clueless about Tonys records.

21st October 1996 - Dance Into The Light - Collins, Phil 8 (88)
In March this year after just over 25 years, Phil announced his departure from Genesis and immediately released his new album on his Face Value label, some of it's content dealt with the rather unfair and untrue press allegations he had to put up with earlier in the year. Although this was a solid effort from Phil but once again it did not achieve the heights of '...But Seriously'

This collection of tracks (13 by A.P.) affirms Anthony Phillips position as a first class soundtrack composer, most people will have heard his music through programmes like Survival even if they didn't know it was him!
1st September 1997 - Calling All Stations - Genesis 20 (96)
EMI Records re-issued 14 Genesis studio albums in three stages during 2007/8. The releases are SACD/DVD double disc sets featuring newly re-mastered 5.1 surround sound and stereo mixes. This album was released in the second of the three batches on 1st October 2007 with Genesis, Invisible Touch and We Can't Dance.
With Ray Wilson, formerly of the band Stiltskin taking vocal duties and two drummers taking the place of Phil Collins, this heralded a new chapter for the band. Tony and Mike had already written most of the material for the album over the last year or two but Ray put forward some excellent tracks such as There Must Be Some Other Way.
29th September 1997 - Genesis Revisited - Hackett, Steve 18 (97)
Steve, with some help from friends presents his version of some full blown Genesis classics, also titled Watcher Of The Skies in some parts of the world
21st March 1998 - The Archive Collection Volume 1 (d) - Phillips, Anthony 27 (98)
A look through Anthony Phillips loft revealed a long lost school tuck-box full of reel to reel tapes, some of these recordings are presented here, including a very early version of The Musical Box. A must for collectors and a good introduction to 'Ants' work in general
27th April 1998 - The Tokyo Tapes (d) - Hackett, Steve 19 (99)
Also available as a DVD edition
22nd June 1998 - Archive 1967-75 (4cd) - Genesis 21 (100)
A long awaited blast from the past, this set covers the years that Peter was lead singer with the group, features one track from the demo tape that was given to Jonathan King, before the group was even named. Also contains some tracks from the From Genesis To Revelation sessions less the Arthur Greenslade string section that the band disliked so much! 'Classic' Genesis is also represented here culminating in a full performance of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway live!
5th October 1998 - ...Hits - Collins, Phil 9 (101)
This release was a long overdue look at Phil's solo career to date. Also included was his 'cover' versions of True Colors, Two Hearts and A Groovy Kind Of Love.
1999 - Cut_ - Millionairhead - Wilson, Ray 1 (102)
Released in Germany only, but included here as an important clue to what might have been had Ray been allowed a second album as the Genesis lead vocalist.
New version with 3 bonus tracks ('Dark', 'Adolescent Breakdown' and 'Reason For Running') will be available from the Ray Wilson website September 2007.
26th April 1999 - Darktown - Hackett, Steve 20 (103)
Another strong album from Steve with a wide range of emotions running through it, widely thought to be one of his best albums thus far
24th May 1999 - A Hot Night In Paris - Collins, Phil 10 (104)
Phil indulges in his passion for music with his own recording from his live tour with 'The Phil Collins Big Band', the whole venture was a dream come true for Phil as he got to work with musicians he respected and loved
31st May 1999 - Mike & The Mechanics (aka 'M6') - Mike & The Mechanics 6 (105)
Yet another album of superb quality, you never get the feeling that Mike kicks his heels while making albums, the singles released perhaps were not as embraced as those from his 1995 album, but they were certainly not inferior.
11th October 1999 - Tarzan Soundtrack - Collins, Phil 11 (106)
When Disney approached Phil to write a soundtrack for their new film he snapped up the offer and recorded an excellent soundtrack in several languages and went on to win an Oscar as well.
25th October 1999 -Turn It On Again The Hits - Genesis 22 (107)
Intended as an album to capture new fans this hits release contained Carpet Crawlers '99 as a 'new' track, this track had been recorded over a period of a few years by Peter, Phil, Tony, Steve and Mike separately in their own studios and compiled together in one extra special track for this release.
1st November 1999 - Private Parts & Pieces X Soiree - Phillips, Anthony 28 (108)
