Genesis & Solo People
A-M - N-Z
You can help!
If you can help fill in some of the gaps e-mail me on - paul@hedges.org.uk
there are a LOT of people missing and much information to compile - I am after a 'Who's Who' kind of mini biography of each person, It doesn't matter if they are a major name like Phil Collins or a uncredited backing singer on a Anthony Phillips album. I would like to know where and when they were born, followed by a brief career progression. I'm also interested in how they became part of the 'Genesis & Solo' world and what relevant albums they have contributed to, any links to websites or additional information would be great!
Please note that any text must be your own work and not taken from copyright material. Also I am only (for the most part - I may include some opinion if it is of interest) interested in factual research and not personal opinions, i.e. comparing albums for example. I will (if you wish I will credit any work to you)
Thanks!
Thanks to "John North West London" for valuable contributions and also Peter Gallon

"Hello Paul, l saw your website and your question about Ronnie Caryl with Genesis. l asked to Ronnie (l met him and i play sometimes with him since 2 years ago, I'm Phil Collins's Fan and i write a book about Phil "all recordings sessions"). Anyway, Ronnie have a souvenir of 1 gig with Genesis in Aylesbury. I researched l thing so it was at Grammar School in Aylesbury on December 16th, 1970. So he remembered just 1 gig just after Mike Barnard and just before Steve Hackett. I don't know if you know Ronnie made 2 Albums "Leave a light on" 1994 with Phil on Drums on 4 songs and "One step at a time" 2003 with Phil on B-vox on 1 song. Both albums very rare to find but so good songs on both. bye, Thierry (from France)" - 5th January 2006

"I'm Ronnies cousin, though we haven't seen each other in years. When we were both kids we used to sit on the top step of our aunt and uncles stairs and sing, while our auntie Grace made pancakes. We then used to see how many we could eat. Still looks as though he's eating them. I know that he is married and living near Rochfort but it would be nice to know how his sister Zoe is as well as she came to live with my parents and I used to look after her. Regards Sylvie." - 4th June 2008 - email address supplied
"Perhaps I have spelt it incorrectly its in France Rochefort. I know that Ronnie lives in France now with his wife and peacocks. You obviously wouldn't know who is aunt and uncle were but I do have an old photo of Ronnie which I have attached. Ronnie and I are cousins. To the right is his Uncle Will and to the left is his Auntie Grace. I hope this clarifies things.- sylv." - 5th June 2008 email address supplied

Jonathan King
Ex Charterhouse School pupil, had a hit record with 'Everyone's Gone To The Moon' returned to Chaterhouse as an 'old boy' and was given a demo tape by a friend of the band which was recorded by the members of Anon and Garden Wall. Jonathan got the Decca record label interested, a deal was signed (with parental consent as some of the band were still minors!) and he named the group Genesis. The band were working towards longer more complicated music which was not to Jonathans' liking and after rejecting several recordings he introduced the boys to Tony Stratton-Smith - 1g
